Repolling is currently underway at 15 booths across 24 Parganas in West Bengal, specifically in Mograhat West and Diamond Harbour. The Election Commission ordered the revote following reports of electronic voting machine malfunctions during the initial polling on April 29 in the second phase of the elections. Eleven booths in Mograhat West and four booths in Diamond Harbour are undergoing the repoll. By 11 AM, Mograhat West recorded a voter turnout of 38.2 percent, while Diamond Harbour saw a turnout of 35.92 percent. Despite the hot and humid weather conditions, voters have queued up in large numbers to cast their ballots. Heavy security personnel have been deployed in these regions to ensure a seamless voting process and prevent any violence or malpractice. Meanwhile, a political war of words continues to intensify in Kolkata between the Trinamool Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party, and the Election Commission regarding the ongoing elections.
