Kerala may finally get its next chief minister today after eleven days of intense suspense, lobbying, and marathon meetings within the Congress party. The Congress high command, including Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, has reportedly completed all discussions, with the final announcement expected after the Congress Legislature Party meeting scheduled in Thiruvananthapuram.
The race remains closely contested between K C Venugopal, V D Satheesan, and veteran leader Ramesh Chennithala. While K C Venugopal is seen as the high command’s preferred choice with strong MLA backing, V D Satheesan continues to enjoy massive public support after leading the UDF campaign during the elections.
