Ahead of the opposition alliance meeting, divisions have surfaced within the INDIA bloc. The CPIM has written a letter to the Congress president, demanding clarity on allegations made during the assembly election campaign. The Congress leadership had accused the CPIM of having a deal with the BJP and questioned why central agencies did not investigate the then chief minister of Kerala. While promising cooperation against the BJP, the CPIM seeks a stance from the Congress. Meanwhile, the DMK has pulled out of the alliance over the Congress partnering with another party in Tamil Nadu. Conversely, the TMC has returned and its leadership will attend the scheduled meeting, highlighting the dynamics within the opposition coalition.
