You may have seen the hit Hindi film *Lakshya*. It features a famous line: “You have to sweat and bleed to earn the Army uniform; it isn’t something you can simply buy in the market. It is won solely through merit and patriotism.” Our next analysis focuses on this very uniform. The Indian Army has decided to make significant changes to its uniform and has issued new guidelines for its officers and personnel. The first major change concerns the winter uniform; the Army has mandated the use of the ‘3B’ dress for the winter season. Soldiers will wear the ‘Angola shirt’—a shirt made of warm fabric—during winter. Provisions have been made to wear a battle jacket over the shirt, accompanied by matching trousers. Officers have been permitted to wear high-neck jackets as civilian attire, while female officers have been granted the additional option of wearing a saree or a salwar-kurta.
सुपर हिंदी फिल्म लक्ष्य आपने देखी भी होगी। उसका एक फेमस डायलॉग है। सेना की वर्दी को कमाने के लिए खून पसीना बहाना पड़ता है। ये बाजार में नहीं मिलती। इसे सिर्फ अपनी काबिलियत और देशभक्ति से जीता जाता है। हमारा अगला विश्लेषण सेना की वर्दी से ही जुड़ा है। भारतीय सेना ने अपनी यूनिफार्म यानी वर्दी में बड़े बदलाव का फैसला लिया है। भारतीय सेना ने अपने अफसरों और जवानों के लिए नई वर्दी से जुड़े हुए दिशा निर्देश जारी किए। पहला बड़ा बदलाव होगा विंटर ड्रेस यानी सर्दियों में पहने जाने वाली यूनिफार्म में सर्दियों के लिए सेना ने ड्रेस 3 बी को पहनने के निर्देश दिए हैं। सर्दी में सैनिक अंगोला शर्ट पहनेंगे। यह गर्म कपड़े से बनी शर्ट होगी। शर्ट के ऊपर बैटल जैकेट पहनने का प्रावधान है। जैकेट के साथ मैचिंग ट्राउजर यानी पट होगी। अधिकारियों को सिविल ड्रेस के लिए बंद गले की जैकेट पहनने की परमिशन दी गई। महिला अधिकारियों को साड़ी या फिर सलवार कुर्ता पहनने की अतिरिक्त अनुमति मिली है।
