Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president and Revenue Minister in Maharashtra government Balasaheb Thorat has reiterated that the Congress party strongly opposes the Shiv Sena’s demand to rename the city of Aurangabad. Speaking to India Today TV, Thorat said that the alliance government in Maharashtra wasn’t formed by a single party, and all three alliance partners have a responsibility towards the government. “It’s a government formed by three parties. There is a ‘common minimum programme’ which was agreed upon. Changing names of places has no mention in it.” Thorat said.
Deputy CM Maharashtra Ajit Pawar on the issue of name change of Aurangabad airport and renaming Aurangabad city said that NCP supremo believed in working for people and development.
