Brazilian journalist and geopolitical analyst Pepe Escobar has claimed that Pakistan’s military intelligence uncovered an alleged plot by Israel’s Mossad to target Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir during reported US-Iran peace talks in Switzerland. According to Escobar, Pakistan sent a strong warning to Israel through intermediaries, possibly Oman. However, no official confirmation has come from Pakistan, Israel, Switzerland, or the United States, and no public security alert was issued. The claim has also been rejected by several Pakistani journalists and commentators, including senior journalist Syed Talat Hussain, who called it “baseless” and “misleading propaganda.” As of now, the allegation remains unverified.
