A dramatic development has emerged in the Baruipur rape and murder case from West Bengal. Prabhas Mondal, one of the accused arrested in the alleged rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl, died in a police encounter during a crime scene recreation.
According to the police, the accused allegedly snatched a police officer’s weapon, opened fire, and attempted to escape. Police responded with retaliatory firing, in which he was injured and later declared dead at the hospital.
