A disturbing video from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, shows a group of Kanwariyas pulling two men out of a police vehicle and assaulting them. In the viral clip, one of the men can be heard pleading over the phone, “Sahab jaldi aa jao, hum mar jayenge,” while a voice from the crowd responds, “Tu toh marega hi.” Social media posts claimed the victims were policemen in plain clothes. However, Meerut Police has denied the claim. According to police, the clash began after a collision between two Kanwariyas on NH-58. No FIR was registered as neither side filed a written complaint.
