Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has formally kicked off the party’s campaign for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections by making a significant announcement at a Brahmin Conference held at the party headquarters in Lucknow. During his address, Yadav declared Pawan Pandey as the Samajwadi Party’s official candidate from the Ayodhya Assembly constituency, expressing confidence that he would emerge victorious. The Ayodhya Assembly seat, which includes the Ram Mandir, is among the five constituencies in the Ayodhya district, alongside Dariyabad, Rudauli, Milkipur, and Bikapur. The early declaration highlights SP’s strategy to make Ayodhya a key political battleground ahead of the 2027 elections.
