पाकिस्तान की सबसे महफूज मानी जाने वाली जगह यानी रावलपिंडी स्थित सेना मुख्यालय (GHQ) पर एक बड़ा हमला हुआ है. ये वही इमारत है जहां पाकिस्तान के आर्मी चीफ जनरल आसिम मुनीर बैठते हैं. एक हथियारबंद गनमैन सुरक्षा घेरे को तोड़ते हुए सीधे आसिम मुनीर के दफ्तर के मेन गेट यानी मेन एंट्री चेकपॉइंट तक पहुंच गया. इसके बाद उसने अंधाधुंध गोलीबारी शुरू कर दी. अचानक हुए इस हमले से पूरा रावलपिंडी शहर गोलियों की तड़तड़ाहट से गूंज उठा और पूरे सैन्य क्षेत्र में तुरंत इमरजेंसी और लॉकडाउन जैसी स्थिति पैदा हो गई.
A major attack has taken place at the Army General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, considered the most secure location in Pakistan. This is the very building where Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, operates. An armed gunman breached the security perimeter and made his way directly to the main entry checkpoint of Asim Munir’s office. He then opened indiscriminate fire. The sudden attack caused the sound of gunfire to echo across Rawalpindi, instantly creating an emergency and lockdown-like situation throughout the military zone.
