Food safety officials in Karnataka conducted citywide inspection drives across hotels and resorts in Mysuru and Mangalore following complaints of stale food. During the raids, authorities seized 68 kilograms of meat, including expired chicken and mushrooms, from multiple establishments. Following customer complaints regarding stale chicken, inspections were carried out at a KFC outlet, which was subsequently sealed shut as confirmed by the Karnataka Health Minister. Health department officials revealed that food safety standards and cold storage temperature guidelines were violated, leading to notices being issued and expired food items being discarded.
