CJP spokesperson Saurav Das accused the Centre of failing to honour its July 25 commitments concerning FIRs, compensation and protection for protesters. He claimed the Supreme Court sought a consolidated FIR list three times and warned that CJP would decide its next nationwide action within two days if concrete steps were not taken. These statements were also reported following the August 18 Supreme Court hearing.
