The NCLT’s historic five-member bench has stayed the order approving Zee Group founder Subhash Chandra’s repayment plan and barred him from directly or indirectly selling or transferring any of his properties. The move follows differing views in the earlier two-member bench. LIC Housing Finance, Canara Bank and Union Bank challenged the order, arguing that allowing it to stand could undermine the core objective of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
