बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट की गोवा बेंच ने 6 अगस्त 2026 को एक ऐतिहासिक फैसला सुनाते हुए ‘तहलका’ (Tehelka) मैगज़ीन के पूर्व एडिटर-इन-चीफ तरुण तेजपाल को 2013 के यौन उत्पीड़न और बलात्कार मामले में दोषी करार देते हुए 10 साल की कठोर कारावास की सजा सुनाई है। कोर्ट ने साल 2021 में गोवा की सत्र अदालत (ट्रायल कोर्ट) द्वारा उन्हें बरी किए जाने के फैसले को पूरी तरह पलट दिया है
The Goa bench of the Bombay High Court has sentenced former Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment, overturning his 2021 acquittal by a trial court in a 2013 sexual assault and rape case. On August 6, 2026, the division bench of Justices Neela Gokhale and Amit Jamsandekar found him guilty under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 376(2)(f) (rape by a person in a position of trust or authority) and Section 376(2)(k).
