Swatantra Bhardwaj supporters gathered outside Parliament Street Police Station, protesting his arrest and calling the police action unfair. Bhardwaj is accused of assaulting the father of a minor girl during a CJP protest at Jantar Mantar on June 23. The case gained attention after a podcast clip surfaced in which Bhardwaj allegedly admitted to the assault and claimed political backing. Police later registered an FIR, including SC/ST Act provisions, and also booked him in a POCSO case linked to alleged rape threats against the minor. Bhardwaj has now been sent to one-day police custody.
