The deadly flash flood at Nepal-Tibet border has raised serious questions about what China knew before the disaster and whether enough information was shared with Nepal. With the death toll soaring and thousands still missing, scrutiny has intensified over China’s handling of information from Tibet. Many have alleged censorship of flood videos, restrictions on foreign journalists and concerns about cross-border data sharing on the glacier and flood risks. China however, rejects these claims.
