पश्चिम बंगाल में आरएसएस (RSS) की शिक्षा शाखा विद्या भारती द्वारा 1,000 स्कूल खोले जाने की घोषणा पर राजनीतिक विवाद शुरू हो गया है। मुख्यमंत्री शुभेंदु अधिकारी ने सितंबर 2026 में कोलकाता में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में यह बड़ा ऐलान किया, जिसके बाद राज्य में विपक्ष और सत्तापक्ष के बीच बहस छिड़ गई है। अखिल भारतीय तृणमूल कांग्रेस (TMC) और अन्य विपक्षी दलों ने आरोप लगाया है कि बीजेपी सरकार शिक्षा व्यवस्था का भगवाकरण करने और समाज में विभाजन पैदा करने की कोशिश कर रही है। विपक्ष का कहना है कि मदरसों की अलग व्यवस्था को खत्म करना अल्पसंख्यकों के संवैधानिक अधिकारों पर हमला है।
शिवसेना (UBT) नेता संजय राउत ने भी इस पर तंज कसते हुए सवाल उठाया कि यदि आरएसएस इतने स्कूल खोलेगी, तो उनके लिए शिक्षक कहां से लाएगी? क्या इसके लिए आरएसएस प्रमुख विदेशों से मदद ले रहे हैं?
