A building housing a students’ paying guest hostel collapsed in Delhi, leading to the deaths of three individuals while rescue teams pulled 11 people from the debris. Emergency responders, including the National Disaster Response Force, fire services, and local administration, initiated round-the-clock rescue operations at the site. The Chief Minister visited the location and confirmed that renovation work in the basement, where a pillar got dismantled, caused the structure to collapse. Authorities issued warnings that those responsible, including the building owner, will face strict legal action. An FIR is being registered on grounds of negligence as police and disaster response teams continue clearing the rubble and assessing whether more individuals remain trapped under the debris.
