A TGT-PGT aspirant broke down in tears during the ongoing protest in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The emotional moment came when AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh met the protesting students and listened to their concerns. The students have been protesting since September 5 at the Pathar Girjaghar protest site, demanding that the TGT-PGT recruitment advertisement be issued under the old rules. Several candidates are also on an indefinite hunger strike.
The protesters are opposing changes introduced under the new rules, including eligibility-related changes for PGT recruitment and other changes in the examination process. Students from different parts of Uttar Pradesh have also joined the protest in support of the demand.
