Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to visit India for the 18th BRICS summit, marking his first visit to the country after a gap of seven years. Arriving on 12 September, Xi Jinping will hold formal bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bharat Mandapam. The meeting follows preparatory groundwork, including discussions in Beijing between India’s National Security Advisor and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Key agenda points for the bilateral talks include economic relations, resolving the boundary dispute through an expert group, easing business, and addressing visa issues, as both nations work towards bringing bilateral ties back on track following the Galwan clashes.
