Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin are likely to discuss ways to deepen economic and strategic cooperation between India and Russia during their bilateral meeting, with an ambitious target of taking bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2030.
Expanding industrial cooperation is also expected to be a key focus, including plans around INNOPROM in India. The discussions are likely to cover greater collaboration in the rail sector and tunnelling, development of the steel value chain, more business-to-business opportunities and broader access for Indian and Russian businesses to each other’s markets.
Civil nuclear cooperation is another major area on the agenda, with both sides expected to explore ways to strengthen cooperation across the fuel cycle and life-cycle support.
