During Operation Sindoor, India’s S-400 Air Defence System reportedly engaged a Pakistani special-mission aircraft at a distance of 314 km. India’s Ministry of Defence annual report for 2025-26 described the engagement as one of the country’s longest-range surface-to-air operations.
In this video, we explain how the S-400 and Indian Air Force air-defence network tracked the target, how the IACCS (Integrated Air Command and Control System) helped coordinate the response, and the role of India’s wider air-defence architecture during Operation Sindoor.
The video also covers the Modi-Putin meeting, discussions around the fifth S-400 system, BrahMos upgrades and the possible supply of RVV-BD missiles.
