After Nandigram, another setback has hit Mamata Banerjee’s camp ahead of the West Bengal bypolls. TMC candidate Rabiul Alam Chowdhury has withdrawn his nomination from Rejinagar, just a day after Nandigram candidate Sanchita Pradhan Dey pulled out. Chowdhury cited difficulties with the new election symbol and campaigning. Both Nandigram and Rejinagar are scheduled to vote on October 6.
