समस्तीपुर में युवती से कथित बदसलूकी का वीडियो वायरल होने के बाद बिहार की राजनीति गरमा गई है। RJD प्रवक्ता एजाज अहमद ने इस घटना को लेकर मुख्यमंत्री सम्राट चौधरी की सरकार पर निशाना साधा। उन्होंने कहा कि जमुई की घटना से बिहार पहले ही शर्मसार हुआ था और अब समस्तीपुर में भी ऐसी घटना सामने आई है। एजाज अहमद ने आरोप लगाया कि बिहार में सरकार का इकबाल खत्म हो गया है और अपराधियों पर कार्रवाई को लेकर सरकार में अपेक्षित गंभीरता नहीं दिख रही। उन्होंने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि सरकार ऐसी घटनाओं पर पूर्व की सरकार के कार्यकाल का हवाला देकर अपना बचाव कर रही है। समस्तीपुर मामले में पुलिस ने कार्रवाई शुरू कर कई संदिग्धों को हिरासत में लिया है।
The alleged harassment incident in Samastipur has triggered a fresh political controversy in Bihar. RJD spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed targeted the government led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, alleging that the administration is failing to show sufficient seriousness in dealing with crimes. Referring to the recent Jamui case, Ahmed said that Bihar had already faced widespread criticism and that another alleged incident in Samastipur had raised fresh questions over law and order. The RJD has also accused the government of referring to the record of previous governments while responding to such incidents. Police have initiated an investigation into the Samastipur case and have taken several suspects into custody.
