A disturbing video of the alleged harassment of a minor girl has surfaced from Samastipur, Bihar. The incident is reported to have taken place in the Karpuri Gram police station area on September 15.
According to police, a group of people allegedly surrounded two minors near the Jagat Singhpur embankment. The minor boy was allegedly assaulted and managed to escape. The girl was then allegedly harassed by the accused. The video shows the girl repeatedly objecting to the behaviour.
The video is sensitive and involves a minor, so The Lallantop is not showing the footage or revealing the identity of the girl.
Police began investigating after the video surfaced. Samastipur SP Arvind Pratap Singh said that the accused had been identified and an FIR had been directed. Sadar DSP Durgesh Deepak later confirmed the arrest of four accused — Rahul Kumar, Awadhesh Paswan, Vikas Sharma and Rambabu Sahni.
