Indian security forces have gunned down Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Musa in an encounter in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources in the security apparatus, Musa, also known as Hashim Musa, was a retired trained commando of the Pakistan Special Forces Special Service Group. Sent to operate from jungles and conduct shoot-and-scoot attacks against security forces, he had been operational across the Pir Panjal area for the last three years. Following credible intelligence inputs, security forces cordoned off the Gurdewal Kalan area in Yusmarg and eliminated him in the exchange of fire, recovering his body, arms, and ammunition, thereby wiping out his entire group.
