In Meerut, a court has sentenced Ravita—who murdered her husband and then had a snake bite his body—and her lover, Amardeep, to death. Final arguments were heard in court on Friday, ahead of the sentencing. The judge heard from both Ravita and Amardeep, who are currently in jail, via video conferencing. The judge addressed them, stating, “Both of you have been found guilty of murder.”
