‘SIM binding’ simply means that the SIM card you use to run WhatsApp must always be present in the phone. You might say, “Well, isn’t that already the case?” It is, but not for every SIM. Many users remove the SIM card after logging into WhatsApp—especially those who use a separate number for it—effectively keeping one number for calls and another for chats.
