Superstar Salman Khan addressed and dismissed swirling rumours alleging that the government directed script changes or demanded reshoots for his upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace. Speaking about the project, Khan stated that claims about rewriting the script due to government pressure are false. He clarified that the film is dedicated to the lives of soldiers and their families on both sides, emphasizing that nation comes first. Clarifying its premise, Khan explained the film does not propagate war but promotes peace, highlighting how soldiers manage challenging situations along the Line of Actual Control. Additionally, entertainment bureau reports detailed that the film, earlier tentatively titled Battle of Galwan, faced delays stemming from visual effects and Central Board of Film Certification clearances. Consequently, the release date on banners was covered with tape as the premiere moved from November 20 to a final release date of December 4.
