Carriage and Insurance Paid or CIP explained in detail in Hindi. CIP is an incoterm similar to CPT that is used in import-export business of any goods through any mode of transport. In addition to the responsibilities in CPT, the seller is also responsible for insurance in case of CIP. If CIP is used in sea transport, then it is mainly used for containerised cargoes.
