A couple of days earlier authorities in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow put up roadside banners with photographs of people asked to pay compensation for damage to public property during anti-CAA protests in December. This move has triggered outrage among those being named and shamed. On Sunday, The Allahabad High Court Took suo moto on this and said that this is a violation of the privacy of a person. Court will continue hearing of this matter on Monday, 9 march.
