Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to get a new Council of Ministers with the first major Cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday since BJP’s thumping victory in 2019. BJP leaders Sarbananda Sonowal, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Narayan Rane are being seen as the frontrunners for a Cabinet berth in the Modi government. Ally JDU, on the other hand, has voiced its demands of getting adequate representation in the Cabinet, and LJP now headed by Pashupati Kumar Paras is also hoping to get included in the government and has reached Delhi. Ahead of the Cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday evening, Union minister Thawarchand Gehlot was appointed as the Karnataka governor, creating another vacancy in the Modi government.
