President Bidya Devi Bhandari had dissolved the House of Representatives in May on suggestion of last Prime minister KP Oli. The supreme court has now ruled this as unconstitutional. The court has directed Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba to be appointed as new prime minister. This is considered as land mark decision that has clearly demarcated the powers of President and the Judiciary. All is still not well as the newly constituted govt has to go through a floor test in a month. Deuba doesn’t seems to have majority anymore. Oli can again come into picture in these circumstances.
