Shooting: Indian hopes for a medal were broken when Manu Bhaker and Yashaswini Singh Deswal failed to clinch a spot in the 10m air pistol women’s final at the Tokyo Olympics. With a score of 575, Manu Bhaker finished 12th in the qualifying round whereas Yashaswini finished at 13th position with 574 points to her name. The 19 year old and world number 2 player Manu lost some crucial time inbetween due to some issue with her gun. However she still managed to fight till the last shot where she needed atleast 10 point to fix a spot in the final but could only managed to get a 8 pointer. Ranxin Jiang of China finished top in the qualifying round with 587 points. Greece’s Anna Korakaki finished second with 585 points and with 582 points to her name ROC’s Vitalina Batsarashkina finished third
