Indian Wrestler Bajrang Punia has won his first ever Olympics medal by defeating Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan. Punia won the bronze medal match by 8-0. This is India’s sixth Medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020. India had won six medals in London 2012 Olympics and with Neeraj Chopra’s Gold Tokyo2020 are now officially India’s best ever Olympics. Before this match Bajrang lost the semifinal by 12-5. Rio 2016 bronze medalist and three-time world champion Haji Aliyev of Azerbaijanin had defeated Bajrang in men’s 65kg semi-final.
