A case has been registered against a news portal in Assam for allegedly spreading fake news. Assam’s Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) has filed a police complaint against a news portal ‘The Cross Current’ under Section 45 of the IT Act. dThe Dispur police had registered this case on August 6, which is related to the hoarding bearing the picture of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
