Police constable Mohammad Farman posted at Khandasa police station in Ayodhya district made two petitions in the Allahabad High Court regarding the right to have a beard. However, both his petitions were rejected. The Lucknow Bench of the High Court said that despite the right to religious freedom, it is not a constitutional right to have a beard while serving in the police force. Both these petitions were filed by constable Farman against his suspension from the police department. Watch the video to know more.
