The leaders of Australia, India, Japan and the US are set to meet in Washington for the first in-person Quad summit. Earlier, their foreign ministers had met in Tokyo in October 2020.
Meanwhile, ahead of the first in-person Quad summit among the leaders of the US, India, Japan and Australia in Washington, China on Friday criticised the grouping, saying the formation of exclusive closed cliques runs against the trend of times, and it is doomed to fail.
