Shubham Kumar from Katihar, Bihar has secured AIR 1 in the UPSC 2020 examination. Shubham has been able to do so in his third attempt. He had earlier cracked the IIT entrance examination as well and did his graduation in Civil Engineering from the prestigious IIT Mumbai. Shubham said that he did not even appear for the placements in the IIT in order to prepare for the UPSC examination.
