In a public meeting on July 11, Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari proposed using ethanol instead of petrol in coming days, as ethanol would be cheaper and eco-friendly, Gadkari said. Moreover, he also said that costlier fuel is agitating the people. After witnessing a hike on July 10, petrol and diesel prices remained steady on July 11 across the country. The state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) have kept the fuel prices unchanged after they touched a record high on July 10. Watch this report to know more.
