Covid crisis in Gujarat: Surat saw such a massive uptick in Covid 19 cases and related deaths, that the city administration was forced to revive defunct crematoriums. The Lallantop visited the biggest Covid hospital in the city – Surat Civil Hospital to gauge the current situation. The relatives of Covid 19 patients allege that Surat Municipal Corporation did not furnish Covid test reports on time which lead delayed hospitalisation and other help they could get.
