In this episode of The Lallantop Show, Saurabh Dwivedi talks about civilian killings in Mon district in Nagaland. He explores the chain of events in which a botched ambush by 21 Para SF of the Indian Army lead to deaths of 6 civilians. The villagers then attacked the troops, in which another 7 were killed, excluding a soldier who succumbed to injuries. Situation in Nagaland is tense. Hornbill festival has been halted.
We discuss how these killings will affect the progress of Naga peace accord and also the fate of AFSPA amidst demands of repealing.
