In the ongoing General Elections 2019, key candidates from Darbhanga loksabha seat are Gopal Jee Thakur of BJP and Abdul Bari Siddiqui from RJD. In Darbhanga district, there is a village named Sirsiya. Majority of its population are mahadalits. Child mortality rate is very high here. During our ground coverage of General Elections 2019, we reached here and talked to village women. To our surprise we found that they are consuming khesari dal.
