Four terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The encounter broke out on Monday morning when the terrorists fired upon the security forces during a search operation in Manihal area of Shopian district.
DG Dilbagh Singh JK Police told India Today that ‘based on a specific input an operation was launched by Shopian police and local Army at Manihal village of Shopian district and late last evening an encounter started’.
“By morning three terrorists have been killed and the operation is on.” he added.
Two of the terrorists are said to be associated with Lashkar e-Taiba.
