In 2013, there were riots in Muzaffarnagar district of western Uttar Pradesh. Now Court allow to withdraw case against BJP leader Sangeet Som, Suresh Rana and others. These people were accused that they held a meeting in Nangla Mandour area of Muzaffarnagar and made inflammatory speeches against people of other religions, which triggered a riot.
