Europe’s new ‘Green Pass’ program, which recognizes a few vaccines whose recipients will be able to travel in and out of Europe with fewer roadblocks than others, includes the AstraZeneca vaccine but not India’s Covishield. Covishield is derived from AstraZeneca’s shot, called Vaxzevria outside India. However, Serum Institute, Pune, which makes Covishield in India with a license from AstraZeneca, didn’t apply to have the vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). But CEO of Serum institute of India Adar Poonawala tweeted that he will resolve this issue as soon as possible. Let’s watch the video.
