The USB OTG functionality works fine on the Moto G dual-sim that is sold in India without any additional apps even after the Kitkat update in-fact the USB OTG functionality has been improved on the Moto G dual-sim version after the Kitkat update, interesting thing is that still on the Moto G international version you need third party app to make USB OTG work.
