In Uttar Pradesh Gonda district there have been a large number of resignations in the health department. Additional Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) Dr. Ajay Pratap Singh resigned accusing DM Markandeya Shahi of using abusive language. After this, all the 16 CHC (Community Health Center) superintendents also resigned collectively.According to the report of Aaj Tak District Magistrate Markandey Shahi had called a meeting on July 6 regarding covid. Gonda’s ACMO Dr. AP Singh joined it. It is alleged that the DM used indecent language for ACMO. Hurt by this, ACMO submitted its resignation to the CMO. After this incident, the Gonda Provincial Medical Services Association held a meeting in the night itself. And all the CHC superintendents resigned in favor of their senior officer, unhappy with the behavior of the District Magistrate.
