Heavy rains caused waterlogging in parts of Mumbai and its suburbs on early Sunday morning, affecting the daily commuter’s movement in several parts of the city. Due to heavy rains, the railway tracks and streets were also waterlogged. However, after witnessing heavy rainfall in Mumbai and its surrounding areas since Wednesday, the water started receding at many places as low tide has started.
The rainfall has led to delays in train movement as well as diversions in bus routes in Mumbai. Local train services have been affected on the Central Main Line and Harbour Line.
Waterlogging has also been reported on railway tracks at Dadar, Parel, Kurla, Chunabhatti, Wadala and Tilak Nagar.
