According to the India Today report, The government invoked the provisions of Rule 47 of Rajya Sabha that lays down the conditions for the admission of a question. The question was moved by CPI Rajya Sabha MP Binoy Viswam, who said, “I am yet to be officially intimated about the issue. But have been told informally that the question would not be allowed.”
